Mumbai: Sony Pictures Networks India has released the second brand film promoting its upcoming television property Wheel of Fortune, featuring actor Akshay Kumar.
The company said the latest film continues the tone established by the first campaign, with a focus on situational comedy and humour. The film highlights Akshay Kumar’s comic timing and is positioned as family-friendly entertainment.
According to the announcement, the campaign was conceptualised, directed and produced by filmmaker Vikas Bahl through his production house, Good Co. In comments shared with the release, Bahl said the creative approach was intended to introduce the show to Indian audiences while maintaining the playful nature of the format. He added that the narrative relies on wordplay and misinterpretations, where changes in a single word affect meaning.
The second brand film builds on the first campaign, which introduced the show’s central theme through the line, “अब मैटर करेगा हर एक अक्षर, जब घूमेगा जादू का चक्कर.” Together, the two films aim to establish a consistent narrative centred on anticipation and light-hearted entertainment.
Wheel of Fortune has been recognised by Variety Magazine as the most-watched entertainment show on American television, cited by Guinness World Records as the world’s most popular TV game show, and has received a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Game Show, according to the announcement.
The Indian edition of Wheel of Fortune is set to be broadcast on Sony Entertainment Television and streamed on Sony LIV.
