Bengaluru, India: Razorpay, through its Malaysian arm Curlec, has partnered with NPCI International Payments Limited (NIPL) to enable UPI transactions in Malaysia. The initiative will allow Indian travelers to pay Malaysian merchants instantly in ringgit using their preferred UPI apps. According to the companies, the partnership aims to simplify cross-border payments and reduce cash dependence. Razorpay Co-founder Shashank Kumar said the move extends UPI’s benefits to Malaysian businesses and travelers. NIPL CEO Ritesh Shukla called it a step toward stronger digital cooperation across Asia. Razorpay Curlec is set to become one of Malaysia’s first payment service providers to offer UPI acceptance.
